# 8 iGoogle

The fact that iGoogle allows me to create  and customise my very own homepage amazes me. The things that i have chosen to appear on my homepage include a calendar, new mail,  weather and news updates, sports reports, and an inspirational quote of the day.
Google seems to be a fun  and exciting place to work at, full of fresh ideas and innovation. The thrill that the bright minds at Google must get when they create a breakthrough application for netsurfers around the globe would be truly incredible.

# 7 Google Books

I work in a Library, so i can tell you that this way of searching for books when you need information in a hurry certainly beats endlessly looking through bookshelves for them. Google Books allows for effective browsing within the book, the option of making purchases, reviews or checking their availability, and the list goes on.
I find it fascinating how we have the power to purchase books whilst on the go,  and have them transferred straight to your Ipad or eBook Reader. So from the point of view of practicality, I have no hesitation in saying that Google Books is second to none in the area of online book purchasing.

# 6 Google Maps

Luckily for me, I was already familiar with Google Maps.
I can describe it as a very handy Application when trying to locate places, their distance from where I am, and an overall direction from point A to point B.
I'd like to propose a challenge to Google though. As a busy woman, I need to avoid any halts in traffic, so a 'Google Traffic Jam" application would be handy.

#5 Google docs

OMG, I can't believe how long I spent reading about Google Docs!
Google Docs is an incredibly useful tool, as it has the ability to share/view and edit a collaborative document.
I can't wait to experiment by creating a document that I can share with you guys!!
It might involve some trial and error, but like any mother, I always make it work in the end!

# 4 Web 2.0

After reading all resources given, my understanding is that Web 2.0 focus on the ability for people to create, share and collaborate information online.
Web 2.0 is not just about technology. Rather it is about what technology is allowing us to do. Some of the tools to help  in this process include, blogs, wiki’s, Wikipedia, twitter and facebook.
